This was a dream project for us to work on.

We’ve always loved mid-century design for its timeless detailing, and this home—untouched since its origins in 1968—was full of potential. It needed a lot of love, and we were committed to preserving as many of its original features as possible, including the beautiful timber ceilings and windows.

The home was taken back to the studs to allow for complete re-plumbing and rewiring, giving us the opportunity to thoughtfully rebuild from the inside out.

The brief was clear: retain the essence of the original design while creating a more functional space for a young family. We focused on integrating clever storage solutions, using hardwearing materials, and introducing a soft pop of green where appropriate—all while letting the home’s beautiful original features remain the hero.

The result is a timeless, functional home that honours its past while being perfectly suited for modern family life.
